Welcome
Welcome to the Iowa Science Literacy Project website! We are glad that you stopped by and hope you will take some time to browse through this ever-growing resource we are continuing develop as the project evolves and expands. The Science Writing Heuristic (SWH) is an exciting approach to teaching science in classrooms from primary to collegiate levels. This website is designed for all aspects of educators: teachers, researchers, and professional development trainers. Here you will find examples of teachers’ lesson plans, video clips of classrooms, research publications and presentations, and information for professional development providers. There is also a discussion forum where users can interact with each other regarding the SWH. We will continue to add useful tools and information, so be sure to check back often.
