All Students must:
• Meet all prerequisites (consult the 2005-2007 ISU Bulletin).
• Complete orientation requirements as Freshmen and Sophomores or as Transfer students.
• Have pre-student teaching practicum experiences at both primary and intermediate levels to meet Department of Education certification requirements.
• Meet English Proficiency requirement of a "C" or better in both English 104 and 105.
• Meet and maintain the requirements for admission into the Teacher Education program.
• Fulfill the foreign language (flng) requirement for graduation (3 years of high school flng in one language or 1 year of college level flng in one language).
•must meet one of high school rank > 50 % or ACT > 19.
• must meet the CAAP or Praxis-I exam requirements prior to applying for entry into the teacher education program. Applications for entry into the teacher education program are due the first week of the fall or spring semester while enrolled in C I 245/268. CAAP scores: 173 composite (total) score in Reading, Writing, and Math; with minimum of 50 - R, 53 - W, and 52 - M. Praxis-I scores: 522 composite score with no one score in either area of Reading, Writing, or Math, below 170.

• Post-Bachelor’Äôs teacher education candidates must have graduated from previous institution with a 2.5 or better GPA.
